Internal defects of die-cast parts: Characteristics and causes of leakage

(1) Feature:
During the pressure resistance test, leakage of air or water occurs in the die-cast parts.
(2) Causes:
① Insufficient pressure, resulting in loose matrix structure;
② Internal defects such as pores and shrinkage cavities;
③ Improper design of the gating and venting system;
④ Wear of the die-casting punch, leading to unstable injection.
