Powder coating is a process that involves applying powder paint to the surface of aluminum profiles using an electrostatic spray method, followed by curing at high temperatures to form a durable coating. This process complies with the GB/T 5237.4 "Aluminum Alloy Building Profiles Part 4: Powder Coated Profiles" standard.
Process Steps:
Surface Pre-treatment:
1. Degreasing and Cleaning: Use alkaline or acidic cleaning agents to remove oil and dust from the surface.
2. Acid Washing and Alkaline Washing: Use an acid solution to remove the oxide layer on the surface, followed by alkaline washing to neutralize the acidity.
3. Water Rinsing: Rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water to ensure no residual chemicals remain.
4. Drying: Dry the aluminum profiles to prepare them for powder coating.
5. Powder Coating: Use an electrostatic spray gun to evenly apply the powder paint to the surface of the aluminum profiles, utilizing electrostatic attraction to ensure the powder adheres to the surface.
6. Curing: Place the coated aluminum profiles in an oven at around 200°C for curing, typically for 10-20 minutes, to ensure the powder melts and forms a uniform coating.
7. Cooling and Inspection: Cool the cured profiles to room temperature and inspect the surface to ensure the coating is uniform and defect-free.
Features:
